Dear God, as we enter this season of Lent help each of us be willing to give of ourselves so we can make the lives of others easier.  May our actions and words reflect the Gospel message.  May we always remain open to serving you through acts of love and compassion.  May those around us come to know and believe in you through our own generous acts of giving and kindness.  We ask this through Jesus our Lord and Savior.  Amen.

Dear Members of the SMS Community,

Well this was quite the week!! I hope you all fared as well as possible under the blizzard conditions. The one positive that came out of this is that Mr. DiCicco was able to get a head start on painting the gym. That's right, he is painting the gym! While we were safely tucked away in our homes, he and his crew painted the doors, radiators and trim dark blue, and put a coat of white on part of the walls. Over the vacation this coming weekend, they will finish painting the walls and paint the ceiling. What a difference this makes! Thank you, Mr. DiCicco. I can't wait to see the finished product!!
